On the occasion of its 3rd Anniversary on October 10, 2025, Sintesia Animalia Indonesia (Sintesia) collaborated with Seva Bhuana to carry out sterilization and vaccination in Sidemen Village, Karangasem Regency. This activity also included education and dialogue with the local community in an effort to prevent and control rabies cases in the area.

Rabies can only be prevented through continuous vaccination, population control, and responsible pet ownership. This effort can be reinforced by identifying and marking Rabies Transmission Animals (HPR). Unfortunately, many people still lack understanding about rabies, leading to negligence in responsible pet care.

In a discussion between Sintesia and the Head of Sidemen Village, attended by several regional offices, Bhabinkamtibmas, and veterinarians from Puskeswan, an agreement was reached to form a Rabies Alert Team / Tim Siaga Rabies (Tisira) and a strategy for HPR control management. This synergy is expected to identify and address issues related to rabies.
.
Sintesia also briefly presented regulations supporting animal welfare, including Bali Regulation No. 5/2023. The steps for handling rabies and other animal welfare issues require a holistic and strategic approach.

In its three-year journey, there are still many challenges to face. Sintesia believes that a collaborative and decolonized One Health & Welfare approach is an important step toward achieving integrated and sustainable solutions.
